Font - Not to brag, but my dog's a real cutie, so she gets a lot of "cute dog" comments while we're walking. However, it's always felt weird to me to say "thank you" because it's not like I did anything to make her cute? I usually just agree and say something like "she sure is!" Just curious to see what other people say and if I'm the only one who's overthought about this

Font - Felix Felicis24 . 10 hr. ago With our older dog, I smile and keep walking. We're both tolerant of strangers but prefer avoiding interactions lol. With our puppy, I smile and say, "He's friendly!" because it makes his heart burst when gets pets from strangers.

Font - aBigButterStick - 10 hr. ago I usually say "yeah she knows it" just to kind of joke and imply how much I love on her. Sometimes I'll ask if they want to pet her because I know I usually compliment a dog I want to pet lol

Handwriting - b0bbiepins 8 hr. ago This was my answer too! "Oh she knows" dramatic joking eyeroll then we all laugh and usually say they can pet if they want. She's a sassy thing so that's pretty much how I imagine she would respond to someone telling her she's cute!

Human body - Toasterband 10 hr. ago . "Thanks" or sometimes "thanks do you want to say hi" depending on my mood. Every once and a while, if I'm feeling goofy, I will say "Did you hear that? Your'e cute" to the dog.

Font - . EtainAingeal 9 hr. ago "Thanks, he certainly thinks so" because my dog is an arrogant ass.

Human body - GrimEfferuss Sometimes I just say “Thanks, I made him that way" and it usually gets a laugh from people. My parents used to say that when strangers said I was a cute kid. . 9 hr. ago

Font - jluvdc26 9 hr. ago I say thank you and then I tell my dog "Did you hear that? You were complimented!" She likes the tone so she wags her tail which generally elicits a smile and we move on.

Rectangle - ace889 8 hr. ago My dog and I both have ice blue eyes so when someone says "oh wow look at her eyes, so beautiful" I say "thanks, she got them from me." Gets a laugh like 30% of the time but the split second confusion is really my goal. I'll never stop.

Font - Chiritsu 9 hr. ago I always get "omg what kind of dog is that?", "He's beautiful!" You're not the only one that over thinks the things haha. I always felt weird before because I didn't do anything to make him the way he is besides training for behaviors, diet for shiny coat, and regular grooming but in general he has a nice temperament c:

Font - sketchy_ppl 8 hr. ago it's always felt weird to me to say "thank you" because it's not like I did anything to make her cute? If you were wearing a cool shirt or backpack and someone complimented "cool backpack!" would you say thanks? You didn't do anything to make your pup cute but she's still your pup (and you did choose her after all), so I think it's ok to say thank you to the compliment. Personally I say "thank you", or "she says thank you"

Font - Divineclaws222 7 hr. ago edited 7 hr. ago I always feel a sense of pride - even tho I have nothing to do with it I usually just give them an awww thanks It is funny when I walk my super mutt tho because he's pretty funky looking. And people will come up, point, and very confidently go " oh is he a _?!" - they always get a bit awkward for some reason when I go "oh no- he's a pure mutt. No idea what he is" . (But no seriously. He looks like a catahoula mixed with a terrier. Got him from som
